1. Prologue
In the united states of America, most people lives individual home that floored with carpet. What is reason that used carpet or wood flooring at American.
a) Short period to build home
- Almost the home should be made by wood that means 'Dry Method'. It was very short terms of can build a home about 5 to 6 month.
- They do not use water such as concrete, because of the construction cost will be expensive.
- The material of made by wood can be returned to soil. However the concrete and cement cannot return to there by environment.
b) Cold flooring
- The house have wall fire on 1st floor. That can increase temperature at home. But that is not efficient to increase temperature all area.
- They need to look for protect toe can increase temperature.
2. The problem of flooring.
a) Carpet
- Dust
So many dust comes out from Carpet because people wear the shoes. That culture was going to keep for long times.
Dust fly with air in the house when people walking on the carpet. Probably the child running or tumbling on the carpet, the dust will fly more. After then people is going to breath with dust.
- Cannot cleaning
Sometimes people eat food such as water, chips, bear, juice.
If they drop that was contaminated on the carpet. That do not easy cleaning on the carpet and it will be pay a lot of money to contractor.
- Bad efficient to Baby by mist dust
The lung of Baby and children is not strong yet. Parents have to protect from dirty air from air quality. That means they supply clean area in the home. Carpet was going to occurred this situation.
- Protect by step Noise on 2nd Floor
The house at the united states has 2 or 3 floors. 1st floor is community and business. There are dinner room, dining room, kitchen, rest room. If 2nd floor is hard, the step sound will be loud.
- Bug
The bug lives in fiber. There are warm and hind against enemy. There are best area for living about bugs. Most people cannot terminate them every time.
b) Wood Flooring
- Broken
The wood flooring is some soft for furniture. If the weak floor can make wood nail when broken wood come out. That can attack to baby.
- Need coated by chemical
The hard wood coated by chemical for protect dust and adding hard surface. Most hard wood coated by UV liquid. Sometimes people use steam vacuum machine. At that time the coated UV will removing surface.
- Have to use nail when this install
When house build floor, contractor use steel nail to fix them. As time is gone, the nail come out because it was going to lose.
c) Vinyl
- Thin
As we know that the vinyl installed at rest room, kitchen. That means there always related water.
- Rift
The vinyl was going to use on rest room and kitchen in the united states homes.
If the vinyl was rifted things, it cannot repair at that point. They should change all things, spend money and times.
3. The issues of heat up direct to Air
a) HVAC
- Energy
All of the house and office was going to use air conditioning system by fan. That is circulated every times though HAVC, it can increase or decrease temperature easily.
To increase or decrease air temperature, air need so many energy. Specific heat of air is 0.24kcal/kg.'c. Water is 1 kcal/kg.'c. To heat transfer by air, that need 4 times than water.
- Air quality
HVAC system have pre-filters inside duct. However it cannot remove small particle dust. If you have any baby, the small particle dust negative effect to lung of baby.
b) Fireplace
- Heat trans
Fireplace has convection, radiation. That can make translate direct to need something. However to use this, you should prepare so many things. For example, wood, heat tunnel, mesh cover, oxygen.
When you work fireplace, the heated fume should exhaust to outside with high temperature air about 45%.
- Decrease Oxygen
Oxygen have to supply to supply burning wood easily. That means the oxygen will be decrease percentage in the house. As you know that the air included 21% oxygen normally. If the oxygen will be decreased.
Also, if the oxygen is going to decrease 1%, the person feel down.
- Dangerous for kids
When it down temperature in the home, people will go to near fireplace to feel satisfaction. The kids is same. The fireplace does not have fence to trans effetely. It have only mesh screen or glass near fire. The surface temperature is over 50 'C. It is dangerous to kids.

What is Resilient Flooring?
Resilient flooring, also called vinyl flooring is a flooring created from carefully selected natural and synthetic materials. Today`s resilient flooring is a highly engineered combination of polymer materials. Polymers are large molecules composed of repeating structural units, which allow for increased strength and durability for the lifetime of the product. This product construction has changed over the years, just as products in other industries have incorporated new and better technology, resilient flooring has as well.
This graph shown that the Carpet market was going to decrease. The reason is not benefit to someone no more.
Otherwise the resilient market was going to increase.
I visited on Homedepot near my home sometimes. However the resilient flooring is not good quality to me. In case of the South Korea, there has a lot of vinyl flooring high cost however the quality is difference between made by USA and Korea.
6. Future
In result, every people want to live that area should be cleaned excepted Allergy, bugs with effective heat translated.
I will suggest improvement house in U.S.
1st of all, the house should install that can be heated flooring like water pipe under that.
2nd, the resilient vinyl flooring do not extend from heated.
7. Issues in USA
- Almost flooring in United states was going to flat. That means the floor is basement of all such as doors, kitchen top, desk, toilet etc.
- To install heat tube, it should be needed some height like tube size, flat plate, Vinyl ..
